There is no country in Latin America that has so many Blackberry users as in Venezuela. There, the addiction for it is just incredible. EVERYBODY has one, so it seems that Venezuelans harvest this smart phone in their houses, because I know people who have not one, but two or three of those. Nowadays, in my former country, asking for you telephone number is a thing of the past; the new deal now is asked for your BlackBerry Pin or BBPin. The addiction is such that even teenagers or younger kids have one. Why? Haven’t Venezuelans realized that BlackBerry is for really busy people with limited time to do things?
Here in Brazil, that kind of smartphones are really expensive and the ones that kind afford that kind of technology have a great deal of money. I have friends who are middle class people, have money but none of them have a BlackBerry. I know people who do have one, however they are executives, bankers and engineers, and they travel a lot. Anyways, it seems that in Venezuela is the “It” thing to have, just like breast implants (not that I judge that, but some people do it unnecessarily).
